Foreign Minister Wadephul's visit to Kharkiv, a city near the front line, provided important impetus for the German debate. During his stay, he observed daily life amidst constant drone alarms and sirens, which deeply impressed him. Wadephul was particularly struck by the resilience of the Ukrainian people who continue their lives despite the Russian aggression. Of particular note is the adaptability of the city, such as the establishment of an underground university.
