According to the company, revenue in the first half of the year amounted to approximately 1.7 billion euros, representing a 3.1% increase compared to the same period last year. In parallel, the adjusted profit, EBITDA, rose by 14.4% to 332 million euros.
A central pillar of the company's strategy is its strong commitment to research and development (R&D). The company invests seven percent of its revenue annually in this area to secure its innovative strength. Although the USA represents the largest market for the company and generates one-fifth of the total revenue, Altana emphasizes the global balance of its portfolio and maintains a worldwide balanced market presence covering the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
