Wohlgemuth under pressure: Despite contract extension and sales, large transfer deficit to be covered

Despite extending his contract and making sales, Fabian Wohlgemuth faces the urgent task of covering a transfer deficit of about 60 million euros by September 1st. The club plans to use a mix of smaller sales or one major transfer to fund this deficit. Potential funds are eyed from players like Ermedin Demirovic and Bilal El Khannouss.

Fabian Wohlgemuth is under pressure to eliminate a significant transfer deficit of around 60 million euros by the deadline on September 1st. This financial problem persists even though the club recently completed a contract extension with Wohlgemuth and has already carried out some sales.

The central goal of the club management is to reduce this deficit of approximately 60 million euros. To generate the necessary funds, Wohlgemuth plans a combination of smaller player sales or securing a single major transfer.

Previous transactions include the sale of Jovan Milosevic for 9 million euros. Other potential sale targets that could help cover the gap include, among others, Ermedin Demirovic with an estimated value of around 20 million euros and Josha Vagnoman for 10 million euros. The most ambitious possibility is that Bilal El Khannouss could contribute with around 60 million euros.
