A recent study examined the relationship between exposure to phthalates and blood pressure during pregnancy. The analysis was based on data from 338 women across two separate US studies. The researchers identified two correlations: higher concentrations of MEP (monoethylphthalate) were associated with a significantly higher systolic blood pressure, and a link was found between DINCH and an increased risk of high blood pressure (preeclampsia).
