With this accomplishment, she becomes the second European woman to perform an Extravehicular Activity (EVA) outside a space station. Furthermore, her flight marks her status as the second French woman in space, a tradition established by Claudie Haigneré.
Adenot herself is an engineer and former test pilot. Her preparation for this flight was extraordinarily intensive; the European Space Agency (ESA) reported that these preparations included about 150 hours of underwater training. Regarding her flight timing, it is worth noting that she flew into space in February, following Samantha Cristoforetti, who flew in 2022.
