SberInsurance Life: First Half 2026 Figures Highlight High Payouts in Life and Health Insurance Sector
SberInsurance Life reported total payouts exceeding 373.8 billion rubles in the life and health insurance sector for the first half of 2026, driven primarily by investment products. Total premiums were 342.7 billion rubles, with savings and investment products making up almost 93% of this amount. The company also noted processing 86% of mortgage loan applications and issuing a new life mortgage insurance rating.
According to reports from several sources, SberInsurance Life made total payouts in the life and health insurance sector of over 373.8 billion rubles during the period from January to June 2026. This figure is mainly dominated by payouts from investment products. Specifically, life insurance programs with an investment component amounting to 254.5 billion rubles contributed the most to these payouts. In the same reporting period, total insurance premiums amounted to 342.7 billion rubles, with investment and savings products generating nearly 93% of these premiums. Furthermore, Sber achieved a significant market share with its programs, as the company processed about 86% of applications for Sber's mortgage loan programs. To improve transparency across the entire sector, Sber also published a new life mortgage insurance rating.
