Resignations and Divides within the Green Faction
Die Grünen Fraktion kämpft mit internen Spannungen, ausgelöst durch die Wiediewahl von Hannes Damm, die zu Vorwürfen des Vertrauensbruchs und Damms Exkommunikation führte. Damm klagt nun rechtlich gegen diese Entscheidung vor dem Landesverfassungsgericht. Ergänzend stellen anhaltende Anschuldigungen gegen Oehlrich ein weiteres Risiko für den Wahlkampf dar.
The Green Faction sees itself internally divided following the re-election of Hannes Damm as deputy group spokesperson. This process, which stems from earlier disagreements between Damm and the faction regarding the clarification of accusations, led to allegations of a breach of trust and ultimately to Damm's excommunication. Parts of the faction described Damm's re-election in September as a "massive breach of trust." The direct consequence was the group's excommunication of Damm. Damm has now initiated legal action and appealed the decision to the State Constitutional Court. It is expected that a hearing regarding this legal dispute might take place before the next state election.
Furthermore, existing accusations concerning Oehlrich continue to pose a persistent risk to the party's entire election campaign efforts.
