On August 24, an acute rescue operation took place in the Pivan settlement area in Khabarovsk Krai. Several fishermen were on their way to a fishing spot on the steep, rocky embankment of the Amur. The high water levels complicated the situation, as they flooded the shoreline and hindered movement. In this terrain, an elderly man slipped while descending the slope and sustained a leg injury. Rescue personnel had to use a boat to reach the affected area and stabilized the victim on site. Subsequently, the injured man was transported by ambulance to Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
