The bridge, which has been in operation since 1971, has already been classified as dangerous, which is due to severe wear from karst processes. Since September 2024, heavy goods traffic, i.e., vehicles over 10 tons, has been restricted. Currently, Rady Khabirov is considering a complete closure of the bridge to carry out extensive renovation work. These planned works involve replacing the superstructure with all-metal constructions and also reinforcing the support piers. The necessity of these measures underscores the age and condition of this important transport infrastructure.
