An officer reported that the search took place at night and included a net sweep as well as an inspection of the pool floor. The algae caused a strong turbidity, making the pool floor, which is about 80 cm deep, not visible. Even an examination with a thermal imaging camera by a firefighter yielded no relevant results. Bella was only discovered dead on the water's surface the next morning.
