A chase began in Ismaning after a 58-year-old man driving an Audi hit a police officer. After the confrontation in his vehicle, the suspect fled on foot. The police were initially unable to locate the wanted man, and police helicopters were also unsuccessful in the search. The turning point came through a chance witness: Franz Sigl, 88, discovered the wanted man behind the fence of his garden. Based on this tip, the man could finally be arrested.
