As part of the fraud, they created a fabricated story that a relative of the victim was involved in a fatal accident. These circumstances were used to force the victim to hand over valuable items. As a result, the man handed over valuable possessions such as coins, gold bars, and cash. The estimated value of the stolen money is over 450,000 Euros.

The fraud was uncovered when the victim asked a neighbor for help, who subsequently called the police. The police then conducted an investigation.
