Leading specialist Mikhail Ter-Ovanesov recently conducted a masterclass for surgeons from Tula. During this training, two complex combined operations were performed on patients with second and third-stage stomach cancer. One of these cases involved a 62-year-old resident with a tumor in the upper stomach area. The procedures performed highlighted the necessity of the highest precision, especially in operations near the gastroesophageal junction. The masterclass emphasized the importance of modern, high-tech surgical techniques. It was stressed how valuable it is to practice modern procedures and utilize the support of high technology. A central point of the event was also the emphasis on the necessity of early detection, whereby the importance of early diagnosis through regular preventive examinations was strongly emphasized.
