Leningrad Region Rescue Services Report: Fires Extinguished and People Rescued
The Leningrad Region rescue services handled 20 incidents, including ten fires and nine traffic accidents, resulting in several rescues. The Ministry advises citizens to inspect smoke detectors and drive cautiously during poor weather.
The rescue services of the Leningrad Region have been very active recently and reported a total of 20 incidents, including ten fires extinguished by the fire department and rescue unit, as well as nine traffic accidents. During these operations, the rescue workers were able to save several people, whether from blazes, accidents, or during a forest rescue. Specifically, nine people were rescued in the nine reported traffic accidents, and a forest search and rescue operation led to the rescue of one additional person. Two people were injured in response to the fires. Given these events, the Ministry recommends checking the function of smoke detectors and reducing speed in bad weather.
