A spokesman for the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), Hossein Mohebbi, explicitly warned of attacks on the US energy infrastructure after the US sanctions were expanded. In parallel, the IRGC denied rumors of supply restrictions and continued to confirm the production of precision missiles.
Iranian officials also signaled their stance at the political level. Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh stated that Iran is prepared for sanctions. Tehran generally views the sanctions as an economic attack but simultaneously expresses confidence in its countermeasures, thereby emphasizing the country's determination to remain economically independent despite international economic means.
