Hannes Damm was already in conflict with the faction previously, particularly in the course of clarifying various allegations. His re-election in September was described by parts of the faction as a "massive breach of trust." Damm has initiated legal action against this decision and filed a lawsuit with the State Constitutional Court. A proceeding in this context could potentially take place before the next state election. Furthermore, ongoing allegations against Oehlrich represent a continuing risk for the party's campaign efforts and add to the strain on the situation.
