Human Remains Found in Wrecked Car in Peene River near Gützkow

Human bones were recovered from a wrecked car in the Peene near Gützkow. Authorities are investigating if these remains connect to a missing person case from 1994. This mirrors a previous 2004 find involving remains linked to a man missing since 1994.
Police were able to recover human bones from a wrecked car in the Peene near Gützkow. The find occurred on Tuesday when a boat captain discovered the vehicle at a depth of three to four meters. The vehicle, which was buried by the flood, bears a license plate from the former district of Greifswald. The responsible authorities are now investigating whether these remains have a connection to a missing person case from 1994. This discovery is not the first of its kind; in 2004, remains were found that were linked to a 25-year-old man missing since that year. The investigation is therefore focused on the possible connection of these new bone finds to the historical cases.
