Hansa Rostock reduces debt to Obotritia Capital KGaA by 9.5 million Euros

Hansa Rostock successfully reduced its debt to Obotritia Capital KGaA by 9.5 million Euros through a combination of an eight million Euro payment and a 1.5 million Euro debt waiver. The club owner confirmed that the remaining outstanding balance is scheduled for full repayment by 2030.

The football club Hansa Rostock has announced a significant reduction in its debt to Obotritia Capital KGaA. The total debt was cut by an impressive 9.5 million Euros. This reduction is composed of an actual payment and a debt forgiveness.

Specifically, the reduction was achieved through a repayment of eight million Euros in July, as well as a waiver declaration from Obotritia Capital KGaA amounting to approximately 1.5 million Euros. Originally, the debt burden to Obotritia Capital KGaA was approximately 12.5 million Euros as of June 30, 2026.

The owner of the club confirmed that the remaining outstanding debt is scheduled to be fully repaid by 2030. Rolf Elgeti confirmed this repayment security for the remaining liabilities.
