The proposed tax reform package comprises a total of 34 measures, which are intended to achieve an annual relief of around 10 billion euros through reforms in various key areas. Among the central changes is the increase of the basic allowance and the top tax rate limit until 2028. Specifically, the reform stipulates that the basic allowance will rise to 12,900 euros by 2028, and the top tax rate limit will be increased from the current 69,879 euros to 70,600 euros. Furthermore, an increase in the child benefit is also planned, which is set to rise from 259 to 272 euros per month by 2028. However, it is criticized that tax progressivity tends to decrease because the lower limit of the middle-class zone remains unchanged at 17,800 euros. These points form the core of the planned financial adjustments.
