The central goal of his visit is to secure the procurement of interceptor missiles for Ukraine's Patriot systems from President Donald Trump. Furthermore, Burnham expects talks with European allies where further support for Kyiv is to be discussed. There is talk of a possible meeting of European leaders of a so-called "Coalition of the Willing." Interestingly, Burnham had previously visited Kyiv and addressed Russia there.
